Such a great track! I love that thumping, funky bassline and all the textures. Would have been very cool to be at that gig, this is one where he lives up to Bowie and leaves the tinsel synth pop crowd far behind. I need to get that album.

It is Rrussell Bell on guitar but it's John Webb on drums.

A storming song! A bit rockier than his classic earlier synth-dominated lbums, but still with the dark Numan aesthetic. Thanks for uploading this.

The album version drags on interminably (in my opinion Gary did let songs run on too long on his mid-eighties albums especially), but the 7" version here really kicks ass. And just listen to the lyrics, how they might have been wishful thinking in 1986 when only die-hard fans like us carried the torch for him, but some twelve years later rang absoultely true:
"I'm back and I'm proven ... I'm back and I'm strong ..."
Video features Ced Sharpley on drums, and is that Rrussell Bell on guitar?
